개인정보 처리방침

버프캣은 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 계정도, 자체 서버도, 분석 도구도 없습니다. 운동 기록은 이용자의 기기에 저장되며, 기기에서 iCloud를 사용 중이라면 이용자 본인의 iCloud 비공개 영역에 동기화됩니다. 운영자는 그 내용을 볼 수 없습니다. 건강 앱 저장을 허용하면 마친 운동이 이용자의 건강 앱에 근력 운동으로 기록되며, 버프캣은 건강 데이터를 읽지 않습니다.

제1조 저장되는 정보와 저장 위치

버프캣에 입력한 내용은 이용자의 기기에 저장됩니다.

운동 기록 — 운동 종류, 중량, 횟수, 시간, 세트 유형(웜업·드롭·실패), 완료 여부, 기록 시각 기기 내. iCloud를 사용 중이면 이용자 본인의 iCloud 비공개 영역에도 저장됩니다.
운동 세션 — 시작·종료 시각, 세션에 담은 운동 목록 기기 내. iCloud를 사용 중이면 이용자 본인의 iCloud 비공개 영역에도 저장됩니다.
즐겨찾기한 운동 기기 내. iCloud를 사용 중이면 이용자 본인의 iCloud 비공개 영역에도 저장됩니다.
앱 설정 — 기본 휴식 시간, 무게 단위(kg·lb), 기록 비교 기준, 홈 통계 기간(1주·1달) 기기 내.

위 항목은 운영자나 제3자에게 전송되지 않습니다. 홈 화면의 3D 캐릭터, 근육 표시, 운동 통계는 모두 기기 안에서 계산하고 그립니다. 버프캣에는 분석 SDK나 광고 SDK가 없으며, 앱이 자체적으로 발생시키는 네트워크 요청도 없습니다.

제2조 iCloud 동기화

버프캣은 Apple의 CloudKit을 이용해 같은 Apple 계정을 쓰는 여러 기기에서 같은 기록을 볼 수 있게 합니다. 데이터는 이용자 본인 iCloud 계정의 비공개 데이터베이스에 저장되며, 운영자는 접근할 수 없습니다. 해당 저장에는 Apple 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.

동기화를 원하지 않으면 iOS 설정 ▸ 사용자 이름 ▸ iCloud에서 버프캣의 iCloud 사용을 끌 수 있습니다. 끄더라도 기기에 있는 기록은 유지됩니다.

제3조 잠금화면과 다이나믹 아일랜드

운동 중에는 잠금화면과 다이나믹 아일랜드에 운동 이름, 세트 진행, 다음 세트의 목표 중량·횟수, 휴식·운동 시간이 표시됩니다(Live Activity). 휴식이 5초 남으면 다이나믹 아일랜드가 소리 없이 펼쳐집니다. 모두 기기 안에서만 만들어지며 외부로 전송되지 않습니다. 버프캣은 푸시 알림을 보내지 않습니다. Live Activity 표시 여부는 iOS 설정 ▸ 버프캣에서 바꿀 수 있습니다.

제4조 건강 앱(HealthKit)

운동을 시작할 때 버프캣은 건강 앱에 운동을 저장할 권한만 요청합니다. 건강 데이터를 읽을 권한은 요청하지 않습니다.

  1. 저장하는 내용: 운동 종류(근력 운동), 시작·종료 시각과 운동 시간. 세트를 하나 이상 완료한 운동만 저장하며, 취소한 운동은 저장하지 않습니다.
  2. 이용 목적: 이용자의 건강 앱에 운동 기록을 남기고, 운동 중 앱이 백그라운드에서도 휴식 타이머를 이어 가도록 운동 세션을 유지하기 위함입니다.
  3. 건강 앱 데이터는 운영자나 제3자에게 전송되지 않으며, 광고·마케팅·데이터 판매에 쓰이지 않고, iCloud에 동기화하는 버프캣 기록에도 포함되지 않습니다.
  4. 권한을 허용하지 않아도 운동 기록과 모든 기능을 그대로 쓸 수 있습니다. 휴식 5초 전 다이나믹 아일랜드 자동 펼침만 동작하지 않을 수 있습니다.
  5. 권한은 iOS 설정 ▸ 개인정보 보호 및 보안 ▸ 건강 ▸ 버프캣에서 언제든 끌 수 있습니다.

제5조 다른 앱 기록 가져오기

이용자가 다른 운동 앱에서 내보낸 CSV 파일을 선택하면, 버프캣은 그 파일을 기기 안에서 읽어 운동 기록으로 저장합니다. 파일과 그 내용은 운영자나 제3자에게 전송되지 않습니다.

제6조 접근하지 않는 정보

버프캣은 위치, 연락처, 사진 보관함, 카메라, 마이크, 캘린더, 광고식별자를 요청하거나 사용하지 않으며, 건강 앱의 데이터를 읽지 않습니다. 앱이나 웹사이트를 넘나드는 추적을 하지 않으며 광고를 표시하지 않습니다.

제7조 제3자 제공

운영자는 이용자의 데이터를 보유하지 않으므로 이를 판매ㆍ대여하거나 제공하는 일도 없습니다. 관여하는 것은 Apple의 자체 서비스(iCloud 동기화, 건강 앱)뿐이며 Apple의 약관에 따릅니다.

제8조 보관과 삭제

  1. 앱에서 세트를 삭제하면 해당 기록이 삭제됩니다.
  2. 앱을 삭제하면 해당 기기에 저장된 데이터가 삭제됩니다.
  3. iCloud에 동기화된 데이터는 iOS 설정 ▸ 사용자 이름 ▸ iCloud ▸ 저장 공간 관리에서 삭제할 수 있습니다.
  4. 건강 앱에 저장된 운동은 건강 앱에서 삭제할 수 있으며, 버프캣을 삭제해도 건강 앱의 기록은 남습니다.
  5. 운영자가 보관하는 데이터가 없으므로 운영자 측에 열람이나 삭제를 요청할 대상도 없습니다.

제9조 아동

버프캣은 전체 이용가 앱입니다. 연령과 무관하게 어떠한 이용자의 정보도 수집하지 않습니다.

제12조 변경

본 방침이 변경되는 경우 개정된 내용과 시행일을 이 주소에 게시합니다. 중요한 변경은 앱의 업데이트 내역에도 함께 안내합니다.

부칙

본 방침은 2026.10.25.부터 시행됩니다. 이전 방침(2026.09.30. 시행)에서 앱 설정 항목(무게 단위, 홈 통계 기간)을 현재 앱에 맞게 고치고, 3D 캐릭터와 통계가 기기 안에서만 처리된다는 내용을 추가했습니다. 수집하는 정보는 달라지지 않았습니다.

BuffCat

Privacy Policy

BuffCat does not collect your personal information. It has no account, no server of its own, and no analytics. Your workouts stay on your device and, if you use iCloud on that device, in your own private iCloud — where the developer cannot see them. If you allow it, finished workouts are saved to your Health app as strength training; BuffCat never reads health data.

1. What BuffCat stores, and where

Data Where it lives
Workout sets — exercise, weight, reps, duration, set type (warm-up, drop, failure), completion and time On your device. Synced to your private iCloud when you use iCloud.
Workout sessions — start and end time, exercises in the session On your device. Synced to your private iCloud when you use iCloud.
Favourite exercises On your device. Synced to your private iCloud when you use iCloud.
App preferences — default rest time, weight unit (kg/lb), record comparison range, home stats period (1 week / 1 month) On your device.

None of this is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. The 3D character, muscle highlights and workout stats on the home screen are all calculated and drawn on your device. BuffCat contains no analytics or advertising SDK and makes no network request of its own.

2. iCloud sync

BuffCat uses Apple's CloudKit to keep your workouts in step across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Data is written to the private database of your own iCloud account. The developer has no access to it, and it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn it off in iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud; data already on the device is kept.

3. Lock Screen and Dynamic Island

During a workout, the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the exercise, set progress, the next set's target weight and reps, and timers (Live Activity). With five seconds of rest left, the Dynamic Island expands silently. All of this is created on your device and nothing is sent anywhere. BuffCat sends no push notifications.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

When you start a workout, BuffCat asks only for permission to save workouts to Health. It does not ask to read any health data.

  1. What is saved: the workout type (strength training), its start and end time and duration. Only workouts with at least one completed set are saved; cancelled workouts are discarded.
  2. Why: to keep a record in your Health app, and to keep a workout session running so the rest timer continues while the app is in the background.
  3. Health data is never sent to the developer or any third party, never used for advertising, marketing or data sales, and is not part of BuffCat's iCloud sync.
  4. If you decline, logging and every feature still work; only the automatic Dynamic Island expansion before the rest ends may not.
  5. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Health ▸ BuffCat.

5. Importing from other apps

When you choose a CSV file exported from another workout app, BuffCat reads it on your device and saves it as workouts. The file and its contents are not sent to the developer or any third party.

6. What BuffCat never accesses

BuffCat does not request or use your location, contacts, photo library, camera, microphone, calendar, or advertising identifier, and it never reads data from Health. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it shows no ads.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

  1. Deleting a set in the app deletes it.
  2. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
  3. Data synced to iCloud can be removed in iOS Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage.
  4. Workouts saved to Health can be deleted in the Health app; they remain there if you delete BuffCat.
  5. Because the developer stores nothing, there is nothing to request from or delete at the developer's end.

8. Children

BuffCat is a general-audience app. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

9. Changes and contact
